Adopt a Dog -Indeed a Good Deed

Well, In this world there are many individuals who want to be kind and helpful to people In one or other ways, even a few want to initiate some good social cause and promote to people and help others. if you are one of the people meant in the above lines, then this article is for you.

I am Vige.Dr (Dr.R.Vijayakumar), Veterinarian, I spend most of my life treating and curing health issues and working for the welfare of dogs and me to love them a lot, so I have written this article about a social cause that helps stray, rescue, and homeless dogs. It’s all about adopting and giving a new life and family to them.

Reethu’s Life Stages

Save Life

When we adopt a dog from the street or from a rescue center or shelter, we just save the life of the dog, a stray dog doesn’t know when it’s going to die from any vehicle accidents, brutal attacks from people, or even poisoning. In shelters and rescue centers we would see a dog that has been betrayed and given off by ill-minded people or few people left their pets off due to unavoidable conditions, we can adopt them and show what real love feels like and they are meant to be everything for us. we all knew that we cant change the life of all dogs in this world by just adopting one dog, but at least we can change the life of one dog in this world by adopting it and be a good initiative for the cause.

Family

By adopting a dog, we are removing the name stray from them, we are giving a family and new home to them, everyone needs a home and family right, so they too deserve it. In my own point of view, every dog should have a home and every home should have a dog, they may not live as long as we live, but their memories do live deep inside our heart until we die. nobody can replace and fulfill our life as they and their memories do. The dog itself attaches to the family more than we can even imagine.

Gratitude

Money can buy dogs, but it doesn’t make them wag their tail, when we adopt a stray, abandoned, rescued, or dog from shelters we are completely changing their life from a dark into the dawn, so they show better attitude and gratitude towards us, will be very obedient and faithful to us.

Since I am a veterinarian and had treated a lot of dogs, I could barely see few disobedient or aggressive dogs attacking pet parents which are adopted, but I could see many dogs bought for money have been disobedient and aggressive toward their pet parents and not obeying their commands.

Naughty and Beauty

Less Cost

When we adopt a dog, we don’t need to buy happiness, it comes to us for free, we don’t need to spend more amount for buying a dog, we just can get it for free, when we adopt a dog from a shelter, rescue centers we may have a chance of getting already vaccinated, dewormed and neutered dogs. And they already had a general health check-up too, so most of the money for maintaining them will be saved, even they may have been potty or pee trained, so we don’t need to spend money for training them and cleaning their feces.

Glory

Adult Dog

When we adopt a dog, we have the advantage of adopting an adult dog, which would be already well trained, well behaved, and ready to safeguard us and our family, we have also had an advantage of skipping the puppy, adolescent, adulthood stages of dog and directly adopt them in the senior stage. Or even we can adopt them in any one of these above life stages.

Inner Happiness

All dogs give good health and happiness to us, but when we adopt a dog or help someone adopt a dog. we feel an extra boost, we get the feeling that we had done something good and achieved great things in life because we have saved a life from death, we have provided them a family, we were kind and mainly we have spent most of our time for the well being of other living beings. that also encourage others to do this indeed a good deed,.
